Economic Outlook for Utah and the United States

Dr. Kelly Matthews is responsible for local, regional, and national economic analysis and forecasting at Wells Fargo & Company.  He is also the Wells Fargo government affairs officer in Utah.  His research and opinions are widely read by the financial and business community, and he is regularly quoted in newspapers, radio, and television news coverage.  His experience includes being responsible for international forecasting at Eastman Kodak Company, being the chief economist at First Security Corporation, and being a professor at the University of Utah for 31 years. 

Dr. Matthews will be discussing growth vs. inflation, monetary policy, and interest rates.  He will also address how Utah’s economy will look in 2008.
