Glen has three decades
of experience in the technology area. He recently accepted
the challenge of creating the Center for Advanced Research
for PricewaterhouseCoopers, the world's largest professional
services organization. In this capacity, he works at the intersection
of technology, business, and public policy. He has also founded
or co-founded three successful businesses, including the world's
first Internet Service Provider, and CenterBeam.
Glen is also a former executive vice president and chief
technology officer for Novell. He founded the company’s
corporate research and development organization, and provided
architectural leadership for Novell's products. Previously,
he also guided the Department of Defense’s research
into end-system computer security, and he served as the technology
liaison to the Clinton White House. Additionally, Glen had
responsibility for academic information technology on Maryland’s
public university campuses. He also advised Maryland’s
governor on technology issues.
