Ross
has been the Executive Director of the Shingo Prize for Excellence
in Manufacturing, a recognition and award program for manufacturers
based in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, since 1989.
He also serves as an Associate Dean for Utah State’s
College of Business where he teaches management courses. Ross
has written numerous articles and was the editor of The Quality
and Productivity Equation: American Corporate Strategies for
the 1990's. Ross has been a keynote speaker at over 25 conferences
in North America and has presented world class manufacturing
ideas to numerous other audiences. He is also featured in
an SME Manufacturing Insights Video, a Financial News Network
Video, and a Shingo Prize Profile which aired on CNBC and
PBS.
He has participated in over 150 comprehensive site evaluation
visits to companies that have challenged for the Shingo Prize
for Excellence in Manufacturing and the NASA Excellence Award
for Quality and Productivity. Ross has also conducted training
on the Shingo Prize Approach to World Class Manufacturing
for many high profile companies.
He received a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland and taught
at the University of Georgia and the University of Tennessee
prior to joining the faculty of Utah State University.

principles and techniques that have delivered world-class
business processes for countless organizations throughout
the world. He will conclude with a summary of the latest
Lean research and discuss how it is being integrated into
the Shingo model and applied at Shingo Prize winning companies. |
