Enron and Beyond: Complying with New Reporting Requirements Established by the Sarbannes-Oxley Act of 2002

As a tax partner in the Salt Lake City office of Grant Thornton LLP, Dave Allen has more than 20 years of experience in taxation and international finance. He has been with national accounting firms in Oklahoma, Oregon, Idaho, and Utah. He has served serving both publicly traded and privately owned companies across various industries, including manufacturing, distribution, and construction. Additionally, his experience includes five years in private industry, during which he served as Chief Financial Officer and Director of Tax and International Finance for a major design-build construction company.

Mr. Allen provides his clients with ongoing consultation and compliance services, including coordinating the preparation of U.S. and foreign returns (both corporate and individual), as well as consulting on projects related to international operations, corporate restructuring, executive compensation strategies and international expansions. He has also worked extensively in the expatriate consulting and compliance tax arena, including the development and coordination of international assignment policies for companies of all sizes.

Mr. Allen earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Accounting from Brigham Young University.
