Timeless Principles of Retirement Planning
E. Vance Grange is the Director of Tax and Personal
Financial Planning Programs in the School of Accountancy
at Utah State University. He teaches courses in income
taxation, personal financial planning, retirement
planning, and estate planning.
Dr. Grange holds a Bachelor’s degree in English
from Brigham Young University, a Master’s of
Accountancy degree from Utah State University, and
a Ph.D. in Accounting (Taxation) from the University
of Texas at Austin.
Dr. Grange is a licensed CPA in the state of Utah
and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional.
He holds a series 7 (stockbroker) securities license
in both Utah and Idaho. He is an investment advisor
associate of Beacon Financial Planning, LLC, a registered
investment advisory company in Utah.
From 1997 through 1999, Dr. Grange served on the
seven-member Board of Examiners of the Certified Financial
Planner Board of Standards. He served as chair of
the Board of Examiners in 1999. As a member of the
CFP Board of Examiners, he helped in putting together
the CFP® Certification Examination. In 1999, he
also served as a member of the CFP Board of Governors.
