Curtis E. Ravsten began his career with the LDS Church in 1977 with responsibilities as Welfare Area Director for Southern California. In 1984 he was appointed Director of Controllership Services and served in that capacity until 1998 when he was appointed Director of Deseret Industries.

Prior work experience includes work with Computer Sciences Corporation, Ernst & Young, and Fleetwood Enterprises.

Curtis holds both a Master of Business Administration, and a Bachelor of Arts, Economics and Finance, from Brigham Young University.
