Mr. Shartin has been a partner in the Los
Angeles office of Seyfarth Shaw since 1979. Throughout that
time, he has advised employers in virtually every aspect of
labor and employment law. He has represented employers in
collective bargaining negotiations, arbitrations, union elections
and all manner of proceedings before the National Labor Relations
Board. Mr. Shartin has also represented clients in administrative
and court proceedings involving wrongful termination claims
and claims of employment discrimination arising under state
and federal statutes, such as the 1964 and 1991 Civil Rights
Acts, and the California Fair Employment and Housing Act.
Mr. Shartin’s clients have included employers in a variety
of industries, including healthcare, media, agriculture, hospitality,
warehousing, manufacturing, retail, and trucking.
